Residential Services
Our Mission:
Residents of our Group Homes have the opportunity to participate in Day Services at one of our three locations. This is a center-based program that allows residents to receive further opportunities to increase:
• Daily Living Skills
• Health & Safety Skills
RESIDENTIAL SETTINGS
Group Homes
• Licensed Developmental and Intensive Training Level Homes.
• Located in the communities of Brazil, Clinton, Rockville and Kingman
• 24-hour supervision
• 6-8 individuals per home
• Facilitates independence
• Medical and nutritional monitoring
• Transportation provided
• Recreation / Leisure opportunities
Residential Habilitation Services
• Requires the same Level of Care determination as Group Homes and a Medicaid Waiver or State-line item funding.
• Level of staffing based upon individual need and funding amounts.
Training opportunities included but not limited to:
• Self-Advocacy
• Daily Living Skills
• Management
• Hygiene Skills
• Nutrition
• Self-Help Skills
• Money
• Self Medication
• Behavior
• Communication
• Life Safety Skills
ELIGIBILTY
Eligibility for Day / OBRA Services is determined by the Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services (BDDS). New Enrollments for Day Services MUST meet BDDS eligibility in order to receive services from CARS.
Funding options for CARS Adult Services is through:
• Medicaid Waiver
• State Line Item Budget
• Private Pay
Note: There may be a waiting list for Medicaid Wavers. Please contact your local BDDS office for more information.
