Day Services
Our Mission: To empower
individuals to have meaningful, practical, and fulfilling lives.
Our Day Service Programs provide the following services to adults 17
years and older who have a wide range of disabilities. In 2003,
CARS developed a Day Service program that is an interactive
habilitation process for individuals desiring to lean how to become
more independent and productive members of their community.
At Cars, we believe that each person's life should be full of
meaningful, practical and fulfilling experiences. These
experiences are achievable through the development of skill sets that
focus on the following:
• Practical Skills
• Daily Living Skills
• Health & Safety Skills
OBRA (Ombudsman Reconciliation Ace) - Our OBRA
Service program is a community and/or center-based program that
provides nursing home residents with developmental disabilities the
opportunities to increase:
• Community Integrations
• Self-Advocacy
• Socialization
• Practical Skills
• Behavior Management

Located in the communities of Brazil, Attica, Rockville and
Crawfordsville.
Open Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM
Facilitates Independence
Training opportunities will be created based on individual wants and
needs. These opportunities may include, but are not limited to:
• Self-Advocacy
• Cooking Skills / Meal Planning
• Academic Skills
• Computer Skills
• Personal Hygiene Skills
• Nutrition
• Money Management
• Behavior Management
• Communication
• Life Safety Skills
• Community Integration
• Home & Environmental Safety
